Hi! We are Nick and Haley. We fell in love in a coffee shop. We got married on January 8, 2011. We honeymooned at Disney World and Hogwarts. We love to watch Gotham, New Girl, Big Bang Theory, and Downton Abby together. We are Apple people. We live on a budget, and like it that way. He likes to cook, she likes to bake. He likes to build, she likes to paint. We love to explore new places together.
I, Haley, am the author of this blog. I graduated from Baylor University with a BA in Psychology. I love working with children who have been neglected and forgotten. I hope to be a voice for the voiceless. I love to read, and my favorite books include Tale of Two Cities, Grapes of Wrath, Peter Pan, and Harry Potter. I tend to quote Friends and talk in a British accent. My favorite color is orange. I love to create.
The hubster, Nick, is my favorite skater boi. He graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology with a BS in Architectural Engineering. He loves building things and riding his motorcycle. He tends to ignore recipes and create his own meals. His favorite color is yellow. He enjoys being outside, especially playing disc golf, kayaking, and camping.
We live in Providence, Rhode Island. Nick spends his time working both for Sojourn Collegiate Ministry with college students and at a rock climbing gym part time. I teach preschool and am sloooowly working toward my MEd in Early Childhood Education at Rhode Island College. We are currently waiting to become foster parents. I also create for Paper Waves Designs.
Together, we love our little poodle, Brickley, trips to the beach, and spending time with friends. We are so glad you are joining us on this crazy journey called life!
